Aave Founder Returns to Twitter After Permanent Ban
Aave Founder, Stani Kulechov, returned to Twitter after receiving a permanent ban that lasted 15 hours. On Wednesday, Kulechov tweeted, “BREAKING: Joining Twitter as interim CEO.” Failing to see the humor in his statement, Twitter moderators issued him a permanent ban.
Kulechov’s twitter account was reactivated the following day, and his first tweet back read, “I’m back as interim CEO of Twitter.” In response to Twitter’s moderation policy Aave launched a decentralized social media platform called Lens Protocol. Lens protocol launched in February and will allow users to own their profile, the content they create, and the community members they gather.
Cryptocurrency Wallet Added to Telegram
TON (The Open Network aka Telegram Open Network ), a decentralized blockchain originally developed by Telegram, has launched a cryptocurrency wallet within the Telegram App. The wallet will allow users to send TON coins directly within chats without transaction fees. The wallet also allows users to purchase Bitcoin using a credit card.
The TON Foundation was formed in 2020 by community members who wanted to continue developing the network after the SEC (US Securities Exchanges Commission) sued Telegram for launching an ICO. The foundation raised $1B in 10 days from 176 donors. They also recently received a $250M investment from other backers, including the venture arms of Huobi and Kucoin.
