Nike’s $185M NFT Sales

Nike, the footwear manufacturing company, has generated $185 million through the sales of its NFTs. This comes after the sports brand acquired RTFKT, a web3 development company that creates NFTs. Earlier this year, Nike launched its first NFT collection called Cryptokicks, modeled after the Nike Dunk.

“Nike is focused on potential ways to use blockchain technology to serve our consumers in the athletic footwear, apparel, and equipment space. This is just the start to a future of serving athletes in this space,” said a Nike representative at the launch of Cryptokicks.

The Cryptokicks collection consists of twenty thousand unique NFTs pieces. Thus far, it has sold more than 12000 units. The sales generated Nike an enormous amount of money during an economic and grueling NFT bear market. The collection is available for purchase on Opensea.
